Our Petroleum Geoengineering student, Muhammad Nur Ali Akbar, who came back from the Annual Student Energy Congress with two prestigious prizes only a few weeks ago, has just won again.

This time Muhammad attended the Meeting of Young Geoscientists 2019 in Ráckeve, Hungary on 29th and 30th of March, where he managed to repeat his double victory.

The two-day conference, organised by the Board of the Association of Hungarian Geophysicists and the Hungarian Geological Society, is always a huge success among the young professional participants. Geologists and geophysicists under the age of 35, working in various fields of geology and geophysics, are invited to join the meeting, give and listen to the competing presentations that possess a stimulating effect on domestic geophysical research.
Papers are divided in three sections: theoretical (in a form of oral presentation), applied (also in a form of oral presentation) and poster presentation. After the presentations, questions and discussions of the professional audience follow.

Muhammad entered the applied section and he succeeded in obtaining the first place in the competition. Furthermore, he also received a special award for his outstanding performance from Geo-Log Környezetvédelmi és Geofizikai Kft. This market leading company deals with geophysical measurements in Hungary and in the neighbouring countries.

The award ceremony of the Association of Hungarian Geophysicists takes place on 26th of April in Budapest.

Congratulations, again!
